Good to know
Zero income tax
The UAE has no personal income tax. Your gross salary is your take-home salary — every dirham is yours.
Housing allowance
Most packages include a housing allowance (15–25% of salary) or company-provided accommodation, especially for senior roles.
Annual flight tickets
Many employers provide annual flights home for you and your family as part of the benefits package.
End of service gratuity
After 1 year of service, you're entitled to gratuity pay — 21 days per year for the first 5 years, 30 days per year after.
Health insurance
Employers are legally required to provide health insurance for all employees in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Salary negotiation
Salaries in UAE are highly negotiable. Research your market rate, factor in your visa costs, and always negotiate your package.
